Description
The Remyck is a single-light wall fitting with a matte black conical shade mounted on a curved arm extending from a circular wall plate. The shade measures approximately 200mm at its widest point and the arm projects 267mm from the wall, angling the shade downwards to direct light onto a specific zone rather than spreading it across the room. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately.
Designed for bedside reading positions, study desks, hallways and staircases where focused task light is needed without a ceiling fitting, the Remyck works as a single fitting or in symmetrical pairs flanking a bed head, mirror or feature. The 267mm projection means the shade clears typical pillow positions when mounted 900-1100mm above mattress height, allowing the light to fall onto a book or tablet without glare in the reader's eyes. In hallways the downward angle highlights artworks, architectural detail or flooring textures.
The matte black powder coat absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping the fitting itself low-contrast against dark walls and high-contrast against lighter tones. The cone interior is also black, so bulb choice controls the colour temperature and light quality — a warm-white 2700K LED filament bulb gives a softer glow, while a cooler 4000K LED produces sharper task light for reading or detail work. The wall plate measures approximately 100mm in diameter and conceals a standard UK back box.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Remyck take?
The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED in either warm white (2700K) for ambient bedside use or neutral white (4000K) for study and task lighting.
Can the shade angle be adjusted?
No. The shade is fixed at a downward angle on the curved arm. The angle cannot be adjusted after installation, so positioning the wall plate at the correct height is important during fitting.
What height should it be mounted above a bed?
For bedside reading, mount the wall plate 900-1100mm above mattress height. This positions the shade to direct light onto the reading surface without glare in the reader's eyes, and clears typical pillow positions given the 267mm projection.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Remyck carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations.
