The Reflex is a 45cm diameter pendant light built around a circular translucent fabric disc intersected by a white spherical LED module suspended on an adjustable cable. The integrated 14W LED sits within the sphere at 3000K, casting light outward through the fabric disc and downward through the diffuser, creating a dual-direction light pattern that combines ambient glow with focused illumination below.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways in modern interiors with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Reflex's adjustable drop from 70cm to 280cm allows positioning to suit the room. The fabric disc filters and softens the LED output, reducing glare while the woven textile texture creates subtle shadow patterns on nearby surfaces when lit. The white metal hardware and acrylic diffuser keep the visual weight minimal despite the 45cm diameter.

The translucent fabric disc's weave varies in density, creating areas of higher and lower light transmission that shift as the viewing angle changes. This gives the pendant a different appearance depending on where you stand in the room. The white finish on the metal components and sphere keeps the fitting neutral, allowing it to sit comfortably in spaces dominated by whites, greys and pale timber without creating colour clashes. The integrated 14W LED operates on standard 220-240V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility with this Maytoni fitting.

What ceiling height does it need?

The adjustable cable allows a drop between 70cm and 280cm. For positioning above a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically sits 70-90cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings can extend the drop to create more vertical drama.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Reflex is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or other areas where moisture is present.

How is the fabric disc cleaned?

The translucent fabric can be dusted gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low power. Avoid liquid cleaners or excessive pressure, which may damage the weave or stretch the fabric.
