Description

The Reef Large is a 550mm diameter LED flush ceiling light with a tuneable white light source that adjusts from warm 3000K to cool 6500K using an included remote control. The fitting combines a frosted acrylic diffuser with a polished chrome centre plate and sits 60mm from the ceiling when installed. The integrated 60W LED produces 4200 lumens and dims via the remote.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms and open-plan spaces where a single ceiling fitting needs to provide both ambient and task light, the Reef allows the colour temperature to be adjusted to match time of day or activity. Warm white settings around 3000K suit relaxed evening use, while cooler 5000-6500K daylight settings work for reading, cooking or detailed tasks. The remote stores the last setting, so the light returns to the same level when switched on at the wall.

The 550mm diameter provides sufficient light spread for rooms up to approximately 18-20m², with the 4200lm output comparable to a traditional 300W halogen fitting. The frosted acrylic diffuser shows a subtle sparkle texture when lit, caused by fine crystalline particles suspended in the acrylic during manufacture. The polished chrome centre plate reflects ceiling colour and adds a metallic accent that pairs with chrome taps, handles and light switches in contemporary interiors.

The flush mount sits tight to the ceiling with no drop, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards where a pendant would hang too low. Installation requires a UK standard ceiling rose, mains connection and fixing into a ceiling joist or plasterboard anchor rated to 3kg or above. The remote operates up to approximately 8m line-of-sight.
