Description

The Ravion is a 1m diameter ring chandelier built around a brushed brass circular frame, with a continuous band of natural Spanish alabaster panels mounted vertically at staggered heights. An integrated 80W LED at 3000K sits within the ring, washing the alabaster from behind so that each panel glows from within rather than from a visible bulb. The fitting is a low-profile 120mm tall, suspended on three fine steel cables from a brushed brass cylindrical canopy.

Designed for dining rooms, large entrance halls, hotel lobbies and open-plan living spaces, the Ravion suits ceiling heights of 2.7m and above where its 1m diameter can read clearly without crowding the room. The cable suspension allows the drop to be set on installation, typically positioning the ring 700-900mm above a dining table or 2.1-2.3m from the floor in a hallway. The brushed brass canopy fits over a standard UK ceiling rose.

Each alabaster panel is cut from solid stone and shows different veining, mineral inclusions and tonal shifts between cream, honey and grey. The panels are arranged in a crenellated pattern around the ring, with alternating tall and short sections fixed to the brass band by small brass studs. This staggered profile casts varied shadows on ceilings and walls when lit, and gives the chandelier visible depth from below as well as in profile. The brushed brass finish on the ring and canopy keeps reflections soft against the pale stone.

At 1m wide the Ravion has substantial visual weight without the height of a tiered chandelier, making it suitable for rooms where ceiling height is generous but vertical clearance below the fitting still matters. The integrated LED removes the need for replacement bulbs and keeps the underside of the ring clean and uninterrupted.

What size room does the Ravion suit?

At 1m diameter the Ravion is best suited to rooms of around 16m² and larger, with ceiling heights from 2.7m upwards. It works well centred over a six- to eight-seat dining table, in a double-height entrance hall, or as the central fitting in a large open-plan living space.

Is the LED dimmable?

The integrated LED runs at 80W on 230V mains and produces warm 3000K light. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer module — please contact us before ordering if you intend to pair it with a dimmer so we can confirm.

Does each chandelier look the same?

No. Each alabaster panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral inclusions and tonal variation differ between panels and between individual chandeliers. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth, working around each panel. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and never use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
