The bronze frame consists of horizontal bands at the top and bottom with vertical wire struts linking them, creating a lantern shape that echoes traditional coach lights while remaining visibly lighter in construction. Clear bevelled glass sits behind the struts on all four sides and across the top, allowing light to pass through while protecting the bulb from direct rain.

Designed for covered outdoor spaces including porches, front door canopies, pergolas and covered patios, the pendant carries an IP44 rating that protects against water splashed from any direction. The 2438mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted on installation from a minimum of 505mm up to a maximum of 2979mm, making the fitting adaptable to standard domestic porch heights (typically 2.2-2.4m) or higher covered outdoor ceilings. The pendant accepts any E27 bulb up to 60W, with Edison-filament LED bulbs providing the clearest view of the bulb through the glass.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?

Yes. It is rated IP44, which protects against water splashed from any direction, so it can be fitted in an exposed position as well as under a porch, canopy or pergola.

What bulb works best with this lantern?

The clear glass panels show the bulb clearly, so Edison-filament LED bulbs (typically 4-6W, 2200K-2700K warm tone) suit the traditional lantern aesthetic. Standard LED or halogen E27 bulbs up to 60W also work but the bulb shape will be fully visible through the glass.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chain is adjusted during installation by removing links to achieve the desired height. Once installed the drop is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and the chain altered again.
