Description
The Ravine is a medium pedestal outdoor light with a lantern-style head finished in western bronze, featuring clear bevelled glass panels on all four sides and a single E27 bulb fitting. The lantern sits on a cylindrical pedestal base approximately 519mm tall overall, designed to be surface-mounted onto gate posts, driveway pillars, patio walls or garden steps.
Designed for residential driveways, front garden paths and terrace lighting, the Ravine provides directional light downwards and outwards through the bevelled glass, with the bevelling creating subtle prismatic effects in the light pattern. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for exposed outdoor positions in UK weather but not for ground-level areas subject to standing water or direct hose-down.
The western bronze finish is a dark brown metal tone with bronze undertones, achieved through a powder-coat process that resists corrosion and UV fade better than paint. The bevelled glass panels are set into a metal frame that follows the tapered pyramid profile of the lantern head, with the top cap forming a peaked roof and a metal ring handle detail at the apex. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED or filament bulb up to 60W, with most users choosing a warm-white LED between 6-10W or a vintage squirrel-cage filament bulb for traditional appearance.

Frequently Asked
What does IP44 mean for outdoor use?
IP44 provides protection against water splashes from any direction, making the Ravine suitable for covered and exposed outdoor positions such as driveways, patios and garden paths. It is not submersible and should not be installed in ground-level positions subject to pooling water.
What bulb does it take?
The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED for energy efficiency, or a vintage squirrel-cage filament bulb for traditional character.
How is it mounted?
The pedestal is designed to be surface-mounted onto a flat horizontal surface such as a gate post, pillar cap, patio wall or step. The base plate includes fixing holes for bolting or screwing to the mounting surface, with cable entry from below.
Can the glass be replaced if damaged?
The bevelled glass panels are set into the metal frame. Replacement parts availability depends on Quoizel's spares policy. Contact us if you need replacement glass or components for this model.
