Description

The Rafaga is a 106cm ceiling fan with retractable blades that fold flush into the body when the fan is switched off, leaving a 49.5cm circular ceiling light. An integrated 80W LED provides 3200lm of tuneable white light adjustable from 3000K warm white to 6500K cool white, with an additional RGB ambient ring around the perimeter that cycles through full-spectrum colour. All functions are controlled by a handheld remote that adjusts fan speed, light brightness, colour temperature and RGB mode.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Rafaga combines overhead lighting and air circulation in a single fitting. The retractable blade mechanism means the fan presents as a low-profile ceiling light during cooler months when air movement is not needed, then extends to a full four-blade fan in summer. The DC motor runs quieter than traditional AC fan motors and draws less power, making it suitable for bedrooms and spaces where noise matters. The 120° beam angle from the LED provides wide ambient coverage without needing additional ceiling lights in most room sizes up to 20m².

The matt black finish on the body and blades pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors. The RGB ring sits recessed into the black frame, so it can be switched off entirely for plain white illumination or set to a static colour for ambient mood lighting. The remote offers six fan speeds, stepless dimming on the white LED, and multiple RGB modes including static colour, gradual fade and dynamic colour transitions. The fan weighs 5.3kg and requires a ceiling joist or rated support capable of holding at least 15kg when rotating at full speed.

How do the retractable blades work?

When the fan is switched off, the four blades fold flush into the circular body, reducing the diameter from 106cm to 49.5cm. When the fan is switched on via the remote, the blades extend automatically due to centrifugal force. This allows the fitting to function as a low-profile ceiling light when air circulation is not needed.

Can the RGB ring be turned off?

Yes. The RGB ambient ring can be switched off entirely via the remote, leaving only the main tuneable white LED active. The RGB can also be set to a single static colour or cycled through dynamic colour-changing modes.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting has a total drop of 320mm when retracted and 450mm when the blades are extended. For safe clearance, a ceiling height of 2.4m or above is recommended. The bottom of the extended blades should sit at least 2.1m above the floor.

How is the fan controlled?

All functions are controlled by a handheld remote included with the fan. The remote adjusts fan speed (six settings), light brightness (stepless dimming), colour temperature (3000K to 6500K), and RGB modes. There is no wall switch control beyond mains on/off.
