Description

The Radity magnetic track long adaptor is a 222mm white plastic connector piece for extending or joining sections of Radity magnetic track lighting systems. It carries DC 48V power along the track rail via internal magnetic contacts, allowing track sections to be linked end-to-end without visible wiring or external connectors.

Designed for commercial fit-outs, retail environments and residential spaces where track lighting needs to span longer distances than a single track section allows, the long adaptor maintains a continuous magnetic power rail across the join. The 52mm height and 25mm width match the standard Radity track profile, so the adaptor sits flush with the track body once installed. The white finish blends with white-painted ceilings and colour-matched track sections.

The plastic housing weighs less than metal equivalents, simplifying overhead installation on plasterboard or suspended ceilings where weight loading matters. The magnetic contact design means the adaptor clips into place without screws or additional fixings — power continuity is maintained by the magnetic interface between track and adaptor. Is this compatible with all Radity track systems?

The long adaptor is designed for Radity magnetic track lighting systems running on DC 48V. It will not work with standard mains-voltage track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic track products unless they share the same profile and voltage specification.

How is the adaptor fitted to the track?

The adaptor clips into the track ends via magnetic contact. No screws or additional fixings are required — the magnetic interface maintains both physical connection and power continuity across the join.

Can it be used to create corners or angles?

No. The long adaptor is a straight connector for joining track sections end-to-end in a continuous line. For corners or L-shaped configurations, a separate corner adaptor or angled connector is required.

What ceiling types is it suitable for?

The plastic construction makes the adaptor lighter than metal equivalents, so it suits plasterboard, suspended ceilings and lightweight ceiling structures where weight loading is a consideration. The track system itself must be fixed according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
