Description

The Radity magnetic track long adaptor is a 222mm black plastic connector that joins lighting fixtures to Maytoni's 48V DC magnetic track system. The adaptor slots into the track channel and provides a secure magnetic attachment point for compatible spotlight heads, pendants and linear modules, allowing them to be positioned anywhere along the track run and repositioned without re-wiring.

Designed for retail, hospitality and residential installations where adjustable accent lighting is needed, the adaptor carries power from the track through to the fixture via internal contacts that engage when the magnetic base snaps into place. The 52mm height and 25mm width profile sits flush within the track channel, maintaining a clean sightline from below. The black finish matches Maytoni's black track extrusions and black fixture housings in the Radity range.

The plastic construction keeps the adaptor lightweight at approximately 50g, reducing stress on the track when multiple fixtures are fitted along a single run. The 48V DC specification means the track system operates at extra-low voltage, requiring a driver unit mounted remotely (typically in the ceiling void or a cupboard). Each adaptor is keyed to prevent incorrect installation and includes polarity markings to ensure live and neutral contacts align correctly with the track.

Is this compatible with standard mains track systems?

No. The Radity adaptor is designed specifically for Maytoni's 48V DC magnetic track system. It will not fit standard 240V mains track systems from other manufacturers. The voltage, connector shape and magnetic attachment mechanism are all proprietary to the Radity range.

What fixtures can be attached to this adaptor?

Any Maytoni Radity magnetic track fixture designed for 48V DC operation will attach to this adaptor. This includes spotlights, pendant drops and linear modules from the same range. Check the fixture specification to confirm it carries a magnetic base compatible with Radity track.

Can the adaptor be repositioned once installed?

Yes. The magnetic connection allows the adaptor and attached fixture to be slid along the track and repositioned without tools or re-wiring. This is one of the main benefits of magnetic track systems over fixed-position track lighting.

What driver is required for the 48V DC system?

A separate 48V DC driver unit is required to power the track system. The driver converts 230V mains to 48V DC and is typically mounted remotely in the ceiling void or a service cupboard. Refer to the Radity track system documentation for driver sizing based on total fixture wattage.
