Description

The Radiata is an IP54-rated outdoor ground spotlight with a brown powder-coated cast aluminium body, adjustable head and a single G9 bulb fitting behind a clear Pyrex glass diffuser. The spotlight mounts on a ground lance that drives into soil, allowing it to be positioned in borders, around garden features or along pathway edges without fixed wiring visible at ground level.

Designed for garden uplighting, pathway marking and feature highlighting, the Radiata directs a focused beam upward or outward depending on how the head is angled. The adjustable joint allows the light to be re-aimed after installation, so you can shift focus from a tree trunk to a border plant or adjust the angle seasonally as planting grows. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from rain or garden sprinklers, though the fitting is not submersible.

The brown powder-coated finish on the cast aluminium body resists outdoor corrosion and blends with natural tones in planted borders, mulched beds and rustic paving. The 150mm projection from the ground lance gives enough height to clear low groundcover while keeping the fitting low-profile in border planting. The clear Pyrex glass diffuser is more impact-resistant than standard glass and withstands temperature changes without cracking. The G9 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) accepts LED, halogen or other G9 capsule bulbs up to the fitting's rated wattage.

Frequently Asked

Is the Radiata suitable for ground installation in lawns?

The Radiata is designed for border and bed installation using the included ground lance. It can be installed in lawns, but the lance needs to be driven into firm soil. If the lawn is heavily trafficked or mown frequently, the fitting is better placed in borders where it will not be disturbed.

What bulb does it take and is it included?

The spotlight uses a G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 bulb between 2W-5W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor garden lighting. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmable bulb and dimmer system.

Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The spotlight head adjusts on a joint, allowing the beam to be re-aimed upward, outward or at an angle after the ground lance has been installed. This allows you to change the focus seasonally or as planting grows.

What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?

IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor installation in gardens exposed to rain and irrigation. The fitting is not waterproof and should not be submerged or installed in areas where standing water collects.
