Description

The Radiara-1 is a 103mm round LED recessed downlight with an integrated 10W 3000K LED and a matt white die-cast aluminium bezel. The fitting sits 58mm deep into the ceiling void, with the LED positioned behind a textured diffuser lens that softens the light and reduces glare. The IP44 front protection rating applies when the downlight is fully installed, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for plasterboard and suspended ceilings with a minimum 60mm void depth, the Radiara-1 provides functional task and ambient light in residential bathrooms, hallways, kitchens and commercial spaces where low-profile ceiling fittings are needed. The 10W LED delivers approximately 900 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature, giving a soft white light similar to a traditional 75W halogen downlight but with significantly lower heat output and energy consumption.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides effective heat dissipation for the LED, helping to maintain stable light output and extend the life of the integrated chip. The round white bezel sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, creating a clean finish that works with both contemporary and traditional interior schemes. The downlight is non-dimmable and mains-wired, requiring connection to a 230V supply by a qualified electrician.

Can the Radiara-1 be used in bathrooms?

Yes. The IP44 front protection rating when fully installed makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. It should not be installed directly above a bath or shower (zone 1) or within the shower enclosure itself (zone 0).

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 60mm ceiling void depth is needed to accommodate the 58mm recessed body of the downlight plus clearance for wiring. The fitting is designed for plasterboard and suspended ceilings.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 10W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The entire unit would need replacing if the LED fails, though the five-year warranty covers premature failure.

What cut-out size is needed for installation?

The visible bezel diameter is 103mm. The cut-out diameter required in the ceiling will be slightly smaller to allow the bezel rim to sit on the ceiling surface — typically around 90-95mm. Check the installation instructions or contact us for the exact cut-out specification before cutting.
