Description

The three light Quilbrook cluster in antique brass is the smallest version of the design, with three clear glass globes gathered under a 346mm plate. It keeps the warm brass and round glass of the larger sizes in a form that fits tight ceilings and small rooms. The drop adjusts between 1140mm and 1340mm, and three E27 lamp holders take 10W LED bulbs. Being dimmable, the pendant handles both a bright working level and a soft evening one, which is useful where it is the only light in the room.

Compact clusters go where a full sized pendant would dominate. We would hang the Quilbrook over a bedside table, above a small round dining table, in a hall, a study, a landing or a cloakroom. It also repeats well, and two or three in a row along a kitchen island give a lighter, more even effect than one big fitting. At 2.1kg it is easy to hang from a standard ceiling rose and simple to adjust once up.

The metal is finished in antique brass, warm and lightly darkened, so it reads as a settled colour rather than a shine and hides handling marks. The globes are clear glass, which means the bulb is part of the design, and a small warm LED keeps the light gentle. To clean, switch off at the wall, let the bulbs cool, dust the glass with a dry microfibre cloth and wipe the brass with the same cloth slightly damp. Keep sprays and abrasive creams away from plated finishes. Larger Quilbrook clusters and the cascade drops carry the same look into bigger rooms.
