Description
The Queen is a 255mm flush ceiling light built around three chrome-plated metal rings filled with faceted crystal octagons, each set in individual chrome mounts. The fitting sits flat against the ceiling with a low-projection chrome backplate, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low. Three G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystals, and the faceted surfaces refract and multiply the light across the room.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms and cloakrooms where a compact ceiling fitting is needed without sacrificing decorative presence, the Queen can also be wall-mounted as a flush wall light for corridor applications. The 255mm diameter footprint suits spaces 2-3m wide, and the IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor areas away from direct water exposure. The chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors where a metallic accent is wanted.
The faceted crystal octagons are cut glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper refraction and more defined light scatter than moulded plastic alternatives. Each octagon sits in its own chrome cradle, creating a structured geometric pattern when viewed from below. The fitting accepts dimmable G9 bulbs up to the wattage specified in the table below, allowing brightness control when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The chrome finish is electroplated steel, not lacquered brass, so it maintains its tone without yellowing over time.

Frequently Asked
Is the Queen suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The flush mount design sits directly against the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low. The 255mm diameter suits hallways and bedrooms 2-3m wide.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating limits the Queen to dry indoor areas away from direct water exposure. It can be used in bathrooms outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower), but not directly above or adjacent to wet areas.
What bulbs does it take?
The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs between 2-5W are common for this application, providing warm white light at 2700K-3000K. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.
Can it be mounted on a wall?
Yes. The Queen can be wall-mounted as a flush wall light for corridors or alcoves, though it is primarily designed as a ceiling fitting. Wall installation requires the same wiring and back box as ceiling mounting.
