Is this cable compatible with audio XLR equipment?

Physically the connectors will fit, but DMX cable and audio XLR cable use different impedance ratings. DMX cable is typically 110-120 ohm, while audio microphone cable is 50-75 ohm. Using audio cable for long DMX runs or vice versa can cause signal issues. For short runs under 10m the difference is often negligible, but for a 20m cable it is best to use the correct specification for the application.

How is the cable stored between uses?
