Description

The Puntes is a 6 light chandelier built around a 51.7cm diameter gold metal frame holding two tiers of faceted crystal prisms arranged in a drum configuration. Each of the six E14 bulb positions sits inside the drum, with light refracting through the surrounding crystal before escaping into the room. The gold finish on the metal frame, chain, and canopy provides a warm base tone that contrasts with the cool brilliance of the cut glass.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living spaces with ceiling heights between 2.5m and 3m, the chandelier drops between 43.8cm and 66.8cm depending on chain adjustment during installation. The 51.7cm diameter suits dining tables between 1.4m and 1.8m in length, or can be centred in a hallway or living area where it acts as both ambient and decorative lighting. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

The crystal prisms are arranged in two concentric rows around the circumference of the drum, with each piece bevelled and polished to catch and split light into spectral colours on surrounding walls and ceilings when the bulbs are lit. The six E14 bulb positions accept candle-style bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LEDs for soft ambient light or higher-output bulbs for brighter task lighting over a dining surface. The metal frame construction supports the weight of the glass without flex, and the gold finish is applied as a powder coat over steel rather than plating, minimising tarnish over time.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Puntes take?

The chandelier has six E14 (small Edison screw) bulb positions, each accepting up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a soft ambient glow that complements the gold finish.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable chain allows a drop between 43.8cm and 66.8cm from the ceiling to the base of the chandelier. For installation over a dining table, a ceiling height of 2.5m or above typically works well, with the chandelier hanging 700-800mm above the table surface. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the fitting if the chain is shortened during installation.

Can the crystals be removed for cleaning?

The crystal prisms are fixed to the metal frame and cannot be removed individually without partial disassembly of the chandelier. To clean, switch off and allow bulbs to cool, then wipe each crystal piece with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the metal frame or electrical components.

Is the Puntes suitable for dimming?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific E14 bulbs used. The chandelier itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but the bulbs must be dimmable-rated LEDs or halogens. Check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer circuit.
