Description

The Pulcra is a cylindrical flush ceiling light with a 60mm-diameter copper tube body and a single GU10 lamp holder recessed into the base. The fixture mounts directly to the ceiling with no chain or rod, projecting downward as a single clean cylinder. Four height options are available across the range, from a compact stub through to an extended drop, allowing the same form to be specified at different lengths.

Designed for use in living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, hallways and commercial reception spaces, the Pulcra works as a directed downlight rather than ambient lighting. The narrow tube body produces a defined cone of light beneath the fitting, useful for highlighting a console table, an island worktop, a bedside zone, or a cluster of seating. Specified in groups of three, four or more across staggered heights, the Pulcra reads as a coordinated installation.

The body is metal with a warm copper finish that pairs with brick, exposed timber, dark walls and bronze ironmongery. The slim 60mm diameter keeps the fitting visually quiet on the ceiling, with the copper acting as a tonal accent rather than a heavy presence. The GU10 lamp holder accepts standard mains GU10 LEDs (sold separately), so colour temperature and beam angle can be matched to the room and the surface being lit.

The fitting takes one GU10 mains-voltage lamp. Bulbs are sold separately, allowing you to choose the wattage, colour temperature and beam angle that suit the room. Most users specify a 5-7W LED GU10 in 2700K-3000K for a warm tone that complements the copper finish.

What heights are available?

The Pulcra range is offered in four height options on a fixed 60mm diameter, ranging from a short stub through to an extended drop. This allows multiple Pulcras to be installed at staggered heights to create a coordinated cluster across a dining table, kitchen island or stairwell.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The shortest height in the range is a flush-style stub that suits low ceilings of around 2.3m without obstructing head height. The taller variants need correspondingly higher ceilings to remain above standing height — measure the drop against your ceiling height before specifying.

Is the Pulcra dimmable?

The fitting itself is a passive lamp holder. Whether the installation is dimmable depends on the GU10 LED bulb fitted and the dimmer switch used. Pair a dimmable GU10 LED with a compatible LED dimmer for variable output.
