Description

The Provence Element is a 52cm articulated table lamp with a conical dark grey shade and aged brass joints connecting two adjustable arm sections to a weighted circular base. The lamp head pivots at the top joint and the arm flexes at the mid-point, allowing the shade to be positioned over a desk surface, angled towards a reading position, or raised to direct light upwards onto a wall.

Designed for desks, bedside tables and reading corners where directed task light is needed, the lamp sits on a 21cm-diameter base that stabilises the extended arm without requiring desk clamps or wall fixing. The dark grey shade with its warm metallic interior focuses light downwards while softening glare, and the E27 fitting accepts any standard screw bulb up to 60W (sold separately). The aged brass joints offer smooth rotation without requiring tools to reposition.

What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for task lighting or reading.

Can the arm be adjusted and locked in position?

Yes. The arm articulates at two brass-bushed joints, one at the lamp head and one at the mid-point of the arm. Both joints hold position through friction rather than a separate locking mechanism, so the lamp can be repositioned without tools.

Is the base heavy enough to support the extended arm?

The 21cm circular base is weighted to stabilise the lamp when the arm is extended. On smooth desk surfaces the lamp remains stable in most positions. On very slippery surfaces or when the arm is extended to its full reach, placing a thin rubber mat under the base adds grip.

What colour is the inside of the shade?

The interior of the dark grey conical shade has a warm metallic finish that reflects light back through the shade opening and softens the overall light quality compared to a plain white or black interior.
