Description

The Pro Base is a 40cm linear pendant light with an integrated 6W LED housed in a white aluminium cylinder of 3cm diameter. The fitting drops up to 340cm on a cable suspension, with the LED positioned at the bottom of the cylinder to cast downward task light through an acrylic diffuser. The 4000K colour temperature produces neutral white light suited to functional spaces needing clear visibility without the warmth bias of 3000K or the clinical edge of 6500K.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, workshops and utility rooms where task lighting takes priority over ambient mood, the Pro Base can be used as a single fitting over a worktop or desk, or in multiples along a kitchen island or galley. The 340cm drop allows the pendant to be installed in high-ceiling spaces and brought down to a functional height above a surface, typically 700-900mm for worktop use. The narrow 3cm diameter footprint means the fitting projects minimally into the room volume even when hung low.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish gives a clean, light-neutral appearance that recedes into white and pale grey ceilings without visual weight. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces, so the fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or other areas exposed to moisture. The acrylic diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare when looking up at the fitting from below. The 6W LED draws minimal power and requires no bulb replacement over the typical 20,000-25,000 hour lifespan of the integrated module.

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for approximately 20,000-25,000 hours of operation, which equates to 10-15 years of typical domestic use at 4-6 hours per day.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

The 340cm cable length can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height and intended use. Once installed the drop is fixed unless the fitting is removed and re-wired with a shorter cable run.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K sits between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool white (5000-6500K), producing a neutral white light without the yellow cast of lower temperatures or the blue edge of higher ones. This makes it well-suited to task lighting where colour accuracy and clarity matter.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting offers basic protection against solid objects but no moisture resistance. It must be used in dry indoor spaces only and is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor covered areas.
