Description

The Prismatic linear track connector joins two sections of Ideal Lux Prismatic track lighting rail, maintaining electrical continuity across the connection point. The connector body houses internal conductors that align with the contact strips in each track section, allowing power to flow from one rail to the next without visible wiring or external cables. The black thermoplastic housing matches the finish of Prismatic track profiles.

Designed for both residential and commercial track installations where multiple track lengths need to be combined into a single run, the connector is used in retail spaces, galleries, kitchens and living areas where track lighting extends beyond the length of a single rail section. The 100mm body length bridges the gap between track ends, while the 38mm projection from the ceiling matches the profile depth of the track itself, maintaining a consistent line along the ceiling plane.

Installation requires fixing the connector to the ceiling or mounting surface at the point where two track sections meet, then sliding each track end into the connector housing until the internal contacts engage. The connector accepts track sections from either side and locks them in alignment, preventing lateral movement once installed. The black finish integrates into black or dark-toned track systems without visual disruption.

Frequently Asked

What track systems is this connector compatible with?

This connector is designed specifically for Ideal Lux Prismatic track lighting systems. It will not fit other manufacturers' track profiles due to differences in contact strip position, conductor spacing and housing dimensions.

How many connectors are needed for a typical installation?

One connector is required at each point where two track sections meet. For example, a 3-metre run made from two 1.5m track sections needs one connector. A 6-metre run made from three 2m sections needs two connectors.

Does the connector need to be wired separately?

No. The connector transfers power internally between track sections once they are inserted. Only the first track section in the run needs to be connected to mains power via a track feed or end cap fitting.

Can the connector be mounted on a sloped ceiling?

The connector is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. On sloped or angled ceilings, the track sections may not align correctly with the connector housing, which can prevent proper contact engagement and create installation difficulties.
