Description

The Prismatic is a 60W constant voltage LED driver delivering a regulated 48V output, housed in a sealed IP67-rated metal case measuring 171mm long by 62mm wide. The driver converts mains voltage to a stable 48V DC output, suitable for powering LED strip lighting, architectural accent lighting and low-voltage LED systems up to 60W combined load.

Designed for outdoor architectural lighting, garden path lighting, deck and patio installations, and commercial signage where the driver must be weatherproof, the IP67 seal protects against dust ingress and temporary immersion up to 1m depth. The metal housing dissipates heat efficiently and resists impact, UV degradation and corrosion. The driver mounts via two fixing brackets on the base plate and accepts standard mains input via cable glands at each end.

The constant voltage regulation maintains 48V output regardless of mains fluctuations or variations in LED load, preventing flicker and extending LED lifespan. The 171mm length and 62mm width allow the driver to be mounted in narrow channels, behind cladding, or within lighting troughs where space is limited. The 5-year warranty reflects the industrial-grade componentry inside the sealed case. This driver is not dimmable and should be paired with non-dimmable 48V LED installations only.

Yes. The IP67 rating means the driver is fully sealed against dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth. It is suitable for outdoor deck lighting, garden installations, architectural facade lighting and marine environments where weather exposure is expected.

Is this driver dimmable?

No. The Prismatic 60W 48V driver provides constant voltage output only and is not compatible with dimming systems. For dimmable 48V LED installations, a PWM or DALI-compatible driver is required.

What LED systems can it power?

Any 48V DC LED system with a combined load up to 60W, including LED strip lighting, linear LED modules, and architectural accent lighting. Check the wattage per metre of your LED strip and calculate total run length to ensure it stays below the 60W maximum.

Where should the driver be mounted?

The driver can be surface-mounted via the base fixing brackets in any orientation. Common locations include lighting troughs, behind cladding, within false ceilings, or in weatherproof junction boxes. Ensure adequate ventilation around the metal case to allow heat dissipation, even though the IP67 seal is complete.
