Priorat Glass 3 Light Pendant - Black

The Priorat is a three light ceiling pendant built around a wide, rounded glass shade, gently flattened like a pebble, in a gold-coloured finish with a crackled, leafed texture. It hangs from a round black canopy on a black cable and slim support wires, with a black steel body, so the warm gold of the glass sits against crisp dark details. The shade is 50cm across and the pendant has an overall height of 150cm, which gives it real presence in a room. It takes three E27 bulbs of up to 20W each, and the bulbs are not included, so you can choose the colour of light you like best. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

Being 50cm across, this is a pendant for a generous space. We like it hung above a dining table or a kitchen island, where the gold glass glows warmly whenever the bulbs are lit and draws the eye. It suits a living room or an open-plan space that wants one strong focal point rather than several small lights, and a high ceiling gives the 150cm overall height room to breathe. The black canopy and cable keep it grounded and sit happily alongside black frames, handles and furniture. Because it is IP20, keep it to dry rooms and away from bathrooms.

The body is steel in a black finish and the shade is glass, and glass wipes clean easily with a soft, dry cloth. There is no switch on the pendant itself, so it is switched at the wall like most ceiling lights, and it runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. Packed, it weighs 5.887KG, so we suggest having a second pair of hands ready on fitting day.
