Description

The Points Rot is a 382mm linear track light fitting ten recessed LED modules in a black aluminium body, designed for single-phase track mounting. Each module houses an integrated 10W LED running at 4000K (neutral white) with a 30° beam angle, giving focused downlight rather than ambient wash. The entire fitting draws 10W total and delivers 760 lumens.

Designed for retail display, gallery accent lighting, workspace task illumination and architectural feature highlighting, the Points Rot sits on a swivel joint that allows the entire linear bar to be angled along the track axis. The recessed LED modules reduce glare when viewed from typical standing and seated eye-lines, making the fitting appropriate for office corridors, commercial showrooms and residential kitchens where track lighting provides flexible zoned illumination without fixed ceiling positions.

The black powder-coated aluminium body measures 46mm high by 33mm wide, giving a low-profile appearance when mounted on standard single-phase track systems. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm residential white (2700K-3000K) and clinical cool white (5000K+), providing clear visibility for task work without the stark blue-tinged cast of higher temperatures. High CRI (see Specification tab for exact figure) preserves colour accuracy under the light, making the fitting suitable for environments where fabric, paint or product colour needs to be assessed accurately.

The fitting arrives pre-wired for single-phase track with an integrated driver built into the track adaptor housing. Installation involves clipping the adaptor onto the track rail and locking the retention mechanism—no separate wiring to ceiling junction boxes is needed once the track itself is in place. The swivel mechanism allows the bar to be tilted approximately 90° from the track axis, giving flexibility to redirect light as room layouts or display arrangements change.

What track system does this fit?

The Points Rot is designed for single-phase track systems. It will not fit three-phase or two-circuit track without an adaptor. Check your existing track type before ordering—single-phase track has two contact rails inside the track channel.

Is the LED dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the track circuit. If the single-phase track is wired to a compatible dimmer at the mains supply, the integrated LED driver may dim smoothly. Incompatible dimmers can cause flicker or failure to dim below 30%. Consult an electrician to confirm track circuit dimmer compatibility before installation.

What's the difference between 4000K and 3000K?

4000K is neutral white—cooler and more clinical than 3000K warm white, which has a slight yellow cast similar to traditional halogen. 4000K suits task-focused environments (offices, kitchens, workshops) where clarity is prioritised over warmth. 3000K is preferred in living rooms, bedrooms and hospitality settings where a warmer ambience is desired.

Can individual LED modules be replaced if one fails?

The LED modules are integrated into the aluminium body and are not user-replaceable. If a module fails within the 3-year warranty period, the entire fitting should be returned for replacement. LED modules in quality fittings typically have a rated lifespan exceeding 25,000 hours.
