Description

The Plons is a sculptural LED table lamp built from a continuous flowing aluminium frame finished in brass, with an integrated 12W 3000K LED running through the central wave. The frame rises in a single sinuous curve from one foot to the other, with the LED strip embedded in the arch and softened by a silicone diffuser that turns the metal structure into the light source itself.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and low console surfaces where ambient light is needed without a shade or bulb housing, the Plons sits 245mm tall and spans 390mm across the arc. The compact 110mm depth allows it to fit on narrow surfaces or close to walls without overwhelming the space. The warm 3000K output provides enough light for reading at close range or for general room ambience when placed on a low surface, while the sculptural form makes the lamp function as a decorative object even when switched off.

The brass finish is applied over aluminium, giving a warm metallic tone that pairs with both traditional brass fixtures and contemporary interiors using warm metallics. The silicone diffuser prevents glare from the LED strip and distributes the 12W output evenly along the curve, so the entire arc glows rather than creating a single bright point. The lamp is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty from Maytoni.

Is the Plons dimmable?

The integrated LED runs on mains voltage and is not listed as dimmable in the manufacturer specification. Most integrated LED table lamps from Maytoni are non-dimmable unless explicitly stated.

What surface does it need to sit on?

The lamp has two feet spaced 390mm apart along the arc. It sits flat on any level surface including bedside tables, desks, console tables or windowsills. The 110mm depth allows placement close to walls without the lamp tipping forward.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the aluminium frame and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 20,000+ hours of use, which equates to approximately 10 years at 5 hours per day of operation.

How is the light diffused?

A silicone diffuser covers the LED strip embedded in the curve of the frame. This softens the light output and distributes it evenly along the entire arc, preventing glare and creating a warm glow across the whole sculptural form.
