Description

The Plato is a 15W LED magnetic track spotlight designed for the Exility magnetic track system, housed in a black aluminium sphere that rotates 355° and tilts 180° on its mounting stem. The integrated LED provides adjustable colour temperature between 2700K warm white and 6000K cool daylight, controlled via Bluetooth Mesh along with full dimming capability. The light operates on DC 48V power supplied through the magnetic track rail.

Designed for retail spaces, galleries, home offices and kitchens where flexible accent or task lighting is needed, the Plato clamps magnetically onto the Exility track without tools and can be repositioned or removed as requirements change. The 355° rotation combined with 180° tilt gives full directional control to spotlight artwork, architectural details, worktops or shelving from any position on the track. Bluetooth Mesh control allows multiple Plato spotlights to be grouped and controlled together from a smartphone or tablet.

The black aluminium construction pairs with contemporary and industrial interiors, while the spherical diffuser design softens the light output compared to traditional track spotlights with exposed reflectors. At 18.5cm diameter the Plato sits visibly on the track but does not dominate sightlines in residential ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m. The IP20 rating suits dry interior environments only. The Exility magnetic track system and compatible power supply are sold separately and must be installed before the Plato can be mounted.

The adjustable colour temperature range allows the same fitting to provide warm ambient light for evening use (2700K) and cooler task light for daytime work (5000-6000K), eliminating the need to install separate warm and cool fixtures. Does the Plato work on standard track systems?

No. The Plato is designed exclusively for the Maytoni Exility magnetic track system and operates on DC 48V power. It will not fit or function on standard mains-voltage track rails from other manufacturers. The Exility track and compatible power supply must be purchased separately.

How is the colour temperature changed?

The colour temperature and dimming are both controlled via Bluetooth Mesh using a smartphone or tablet app. There are no physical switches on the spotlight itself. The app allows you to set any colour temperature between 2700K and 6000K and adjust brightness from 1-100%.

Can multiple Plato spotlights be controlled together?

Yes. Bluetooth Mesh supports grouping multiple Plato spotlights together so they can be controlled as a single zone from the app. This is useful when you have several spotlights on the same track or in the same room that you want to synchronise.

How is the spotlight repositioned on the track?

The Plato attaches magnetically to the Exility track rail and can be slid along the track to a new position or removed entirely without tools. The magnetic connection provides both electrical contact and physical mounting, so repositioning is quick and does not require any wiring changes.
