The Plato is an 18.5cm diameter LED pendant light designed for the Maytoni Exility magnetic track system, with a flat circular diffuser in a black aluminium housing. The integrated 15W LED offers adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 6000K daylight white, controlled via Bluetooth Mesh dimming from a compatible device. The pendant head rotates 355° horizontally and tilts 180° vertically on its stem, allowing directed task lighting or ambient wash over surfaces.

Designed for residential living rooms, dining areas, kitchen islands and contemporary office spaces where lighting needs change through the day, the Plato pairs with the Exility 48V DC magnetic track system (sold separately). The magnetic mounting allows the pendant to be repositioned along the track without tools or re-wiring, and the low-voltage DC supply means multiple pendants can run from a single track power feed. The 110cm drop from track to pendant base suits standard ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when mounted over tables or worktops.

The black aluminium construction gives the pendant a 1.1m overall height when hung, with the circular diffuser providing glare-free illumination across the adjustable colour range. The IP20 rating suits dry interior environments, and the absence of a separate bulb fitting means there are no lamp replacements over the LED lifespan. The flat profile of the diffuser minimises visual bulk when mounted in multiples along a single track run.

The Bluetooth Mesh control allows individual or grouped control of multiple Plato pendants from a smartphone or tablet, with independent adjustment of brightness and colour temperature for each fitting. The 2700K setting provides warm ambient light for evening use, while the 6000K setting offers cooler task light for daytime work environments. The 355° rotation and 180° tilt are adjusted manually at the pendant head.

Does this work with standard ceiling track systems?

No. The Plato is designed exclusively for the Maytoni Exility magnetic track system, which runs on 48V DC power. It will not fit standard 230V mains track lighting or other manufacturers' magnetic track systems.

How is the colour temperature controlled?

Colour temperature and brightness are controlled via Bluetooth Mesh from a compatible smartphone or tablet. The system allows individual control of each pendant or grouped control of multiple fittings on the same track.

Can the pendant be repositioned along the track?

Yes. The magnetic mounting allows the pendant to slide along the Exility track and lock into position without tools. Power is transferred magnetically, so the pendant can be moved without disconnecting cables.

What's the difference between 2700K and 6000K?

2700K is warm white, similar to traditional incandescent bulbs, suitable for relaxed evening environments. 6000K is cool daylight white, closer to natural daylight, used for task lighting and workspaces. The Plato allows adjustment across this full range.
