Planet 49cm LED Pendant Light 40W 3000K - White

The Mantra Planet is a 49cm diameter LED pendant light built from two interlocking white metal rings that orbit each other in a sculptural arrangement. The integrated 40W LED sits inside the rings and produces 1800 lumens of 3000K warm white light with a 120° beam angle, casting both direct downlight through the centre and indirect wash light off the inner surfaces of the rings.

Designed for dining areas, living rooms and open-plan kitchen spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Planet suspends on three fine steel cables from a white ceiling canopy. The drop is adjustable between 200mm and 1500mm during installation, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or set higher for ambient room lighting. The white finish and circular geometry pair with minimalist, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors.

The two rings interlock at 90-degree angles to each other, creating a three-dimensional form that presents different silhouettes depending on viewing angle. The matt white powder-coated finish on the metal diffuses reflections and gives the fitting a clean architectural presence without gloss. At 1.75kg the fitting has enough mass to hang stable on the cables without swaying in air movement from doors or windows.

The integrated LED cannot be replaced but is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of continuous use, which translates to roughly 15-20 years at typical domestic usage of 3-4 hours per evening. The fitting is not dimmable and runs directly from 220-240V mains without requiring a separate driver box, simplifying installation into standard UK ceiling roses.

Is the Planet dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed output of 1800 lumens and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light level is set at manufacture and cannot be adjusted.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
