Description

The Pilaster is a 700mm alabaster table lamp built around a vertical column of natural Spanish alabaster, held within a brushed brass frame and topped with a soft white fabric drum shade measuring 380mm in diameter. A single E27 lamp socket sits beneath the shade, and the alabaster column itself glows softly when the lamp is lit, picking up the mineral veining running through the stone.

Designed as a bedside, console or side-table lamp, the Pilaster suits bedrooms, living rooms and reading corners where a tall, narrow lamp profile is needed. The 380mm shade diameter pairs well with side tables of 450mm or wider, and the 700mm overall height places the shade at a comfortable level for reading when seated next to a sofa or bed. The lamp accepts any standard E27 bulb up to the rating shown on the fitting (bulb sold separately).

The frame is solid metal in a brushed brass finish, with four vertical brass uprights bracketing the alabaster column and a square brass base plate giving the lamp a stable footprint. Each alabaster column shows different veining, cloud patterns and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Pilaster lamps look identical when lit. The brushed brass softens reflections under daylight and pairs cleanly with both warm and cooler interior palettes.
