Description

The Pila is a six-light chandelier built around a satin nickel frame with curved horizontal arms supporting square frosted glass cube shades. Each shade houses a G9 bulb (included) positioned at the centre of the cube, which diffuses the light evenly through the frosted glass. The frame is suspended from a rectangular ceiling plate on two adjustable cable drops, allowing the fitting to be positioned at different heights during installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and larger living room spaces, the Pila provides distributed ambient light across a 1.5-2.4m table or worktop surface. The telescopic cable drop accommodates ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, with the fitting sitting 700-900mm above the table depending on preference and ceiling clearance. The rectangular ceiling plate fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cables conceal the wiring run. The satin nickel finish is a low-sheen brushed metal that resists fingerprints and sits neutrally alongside both warm-toned woods and cooler grey or white interiors.

Each frosted glass shade measures approximately 100mm square and sits on a chrome collar fixed to the nickel frame. The cubes create even light distribution without glare or visible bulb filaments, making the fitting suitable for dining positions where eye level often aligns with the lower edge of the shade. The six G9 bulbs are included in the box and are dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 dimmer switch. At 4.2kg the fitting requires a ceiling mounting that can support the combined weight of the frame, glass and fittings.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Pila ships with six G9 bulbs pre-installed in the frosted glass shades. The bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 dimmer switch.

What drop length does it support?

The suspension cables are telescopic and adjustable during installation. The fitting can be set at various heights to suit ceiling clearances from 2.4m upwards, typically positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or kitchen island surface.

How is the frosted glass cleaned?

The square glass shades can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the fitting is switched off and cool. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the glass or metal frame.

What ceiling mounting is required?

The 4.2kg combined weight of the frame, glass and fittings requires a ceiling joist or a ceiling rose mounted onto a joist. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient to support this weight safely.
