Description

The Pietra is an 800mm linear chandelier with four tulip-shaped frosted glass shades mounted on curved antique brass arms, suspended from a twin-rod ceiling attachment. Each shade houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), and the two-arm configuration spreads the light laterally across the fitting's 800mm length rather than clustered centrally.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallway runs where linear light distribution is preferable to a single-point pendant, the Pietra's 87mm width and 510mm drop suit rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The fitting works over tables 1.6-2m long or kitchen islands where task and ambient light can be combined in a single fitting. The antique brass finish shows a darker, warmer patina than polished or brushed brass, pairing with traditional oak, walnut and darker wood furniture.

The frosted glass shades soften the G9 bulb output and diffuse light sideways and downwards rather than creating direct glare. The combination of frosted exterior and clear inner surface visible through the petal cutouts gives textural depth when lit. At 1.3kg the fitting requires a standard ceiling rose rated for suspension loads and the twin suspension rods provide structural stability across the 800mm span. Dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 lamps and a compatible dimmer.

The 510mm drop and 800mm span position the four bulbs to reach across the surface below rather than concentrating light in one spot. A 700mm hanging height above a dining table keeps the shades clear of sightlines across the table while still lighting the setting. The 1 year warranty applies.

The Pietra takes four G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined load of 160W. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with four 3-6W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining and kitchen use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen.

What table or island length does it suit?

The 800mm length suits dining tables between 1.6-2m long or kitchen islands of similar length. For longer surfaces, two Pietra fittings can be installed in sequence, or consider a longer linear pendant from the same the range.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 510mm drop from ceiling to the bottom of the lowest shade works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Installed over a dining table, the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface.
