Description

The Pietra is a single-light table lamp built around a pair of antique brass stems that cross and rise from a curved brass base, supporting a frosted floral glass shade shaped like a tulip bloom. The G9 bulb (sold separately, up to 40W) sits inside the glass shade, casting light through the frosted petals and creating a soft diffused glow rather than a focused beam.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables next to armchairs, and console surfaces in hallways, the Pietra provides ambient accent lighting rather than task illumination. The 360mm height and 160mm width suit narrow surfaces where a taller lamp would dominate. The lamp is dimmable when paired with a G9 dimmable LED or halogen bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, allowing the light level to be adjusted for reading or background ambience.

The antique brass finish on the metalwork shows a deliberately aged patina with tonal variation across the stems and base, giving the lamp a warmer appearance than polished brass. The frosted glass shade diffuses the bulb completely, so no direct glare from the light source is visible when the lamp is switched on. The curved base measures 80mm deep and provides stability on smooth surfaces without requiring additional weighting.

The single G9 socket draws up to 40W, and the 220 to 240V supply matches standard UK mains for use with a normal plug socket. Dimmable lamps paired with a suitable dimmer let the glow drop for evening ambience. A 1 year warranty applies to the lamp.

Yes, when paired with a G9 dimmable LED or halogen bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The lamp itself has no built-in dimming function. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb and dimmer model you choose.

What bulb does it take?

The Pietra takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with a 3-5W G9 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient bedside or side-table lighting.

How wide is the base?

The curved brass base measures 160mm wide and 80mm deep, fitting comfortably on narrow bedside tables and side tables without overhanging the edge.

Does the glass shade come off for bulb changes?

Yes. The frosted glass shade lifts away from the brass stems to allow bulb replacement. Handle the glass carefully when removing and refitting. The frosted finish can show fingerprints.
