Description

This Elstead picture light is a small single-lamp fitting in a black finish with a gold internal reflector, designed to mount above artwork, mirrors or photographs. The cylindrical lamp head houses an E14 bulb (sold separately) rated to 40W and projects 200mm from the wall on an adjustable goose-neck arm that allows the light angle to be set precisely once installed.

Designed for smaller artworks up to approximately 600mm wide, the fitting casts focused downward light onto the frame and canvas while minimising glare and spill into the room. The 190mm width of the lamp head suits portrait-orientation paintings, framed prints and photography without overwhelming the wall space above the frame. The black finish on the external housing contrasts with the gold-finished interior reflector, which warms the light output and reduces the harshness of direct bulb exposure.

The square backplate measures approximately 100mm across and fixes to standard wall boxes or directly to plasterboard with appropriate fixings. The goose-neck arm allows 30-40 degrees of vertical adjustment after installation, so the light can be angled to suit different frame depths and wall positions. The combination of black and gold finishes pairs with both traditional gilt frames and contemporary matt-black framing styles.
