Picture Light 2 Light Large - Dark Bronze

The Picture Light is a 360mm-wide wall-mounted fixture designed to illuminate larger artworks, photographs and mirrors. It houses two E14 candle bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately, max 40W each) behind a cylindrical dark bronze shade that directs light downward and outward onto the wall surface below. The fixture mounts to a square dark bronze backplate and projects 200mm from the wall, positioning the light source above and slightly forward of the frame.

Designed for residential galleries, living room feature walls, hallways and dining rooms where larger artworks or framed prints need directed illumination, the fixture suits frames up to approximately 900mm wide. The adjustable arm connecting the shade to the backplate allows the light to be angled to reduce glare on glass-fronted frames and to compensate for different frame thicknesses. The two-bulb configuration provides even coverage across the width of the artwork without dark spots at the edges.

The dark bronze finish is applied to solid metal components and shows visible brushing that softens reflections under daylight. The cylindrical shade is 135mm tall and conceals the bulbs from direct view when standing at typical eye level, minimising glare while maximising light output onto the artwork itself. What size artwork does this suit?

The 360mm width works well with framed artworks up to approximately 900mm wide. For narrower frames the light may spill beyond the edges; for wider frames a second picture light or a longer model may be needed to achieve even coverage.

What bulbs are recommended?

The fixture takes two E14 candle bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candles at 4-6W and 2700K for artwork lighting. Avoid cool-white bulbs as they can distort colour rendering in paintings and prints.

Can the arm be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The arm connecting the shade to the backplate can be angled to direct light onto the artwork and reduce glare on glass-fronted frames. This adjustment compensates for different frame thicknesses and projection distances.

Does it work with glass-fronted frames?
