Piccola 13cm LED Pendant Light 5W 3000K - Brown

The Piccola is a 13cm diameter pendant light with a double-layered metal shade in a brown matt finish, housing an integrated 5W LED that outputs 550 lumens at 3000K warm white. The shade design creates two surfaces: an upper cone that reflects light upward and a lower diffuser that directs warm light downward, providing both ambient and task illumination from a compact fitting.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, bedside positions and bar areas where a small-scale directional pendant is needed, the Piccola's 500-1800mm adjustable drop allows it to be suspended 600-800mm above a worktop or dining surface in standard-height rooms. The black canopy and suspension cable conceal the wiring run to the ceiling rose, and the 13cm diameter keeps the visual mass low enough for cluster installations or rows of two or three pendants spaced along an island.

The brown finish is a warm mid-tone matt coating that sits between terracotta and chocolate, reading as earthy in daylight and deepening under evening ambient lighting. At 1kg the pendant has enough substance to hang straight on the suspension cable without swaying, while remaining light enough for plasterboard ceiling fixings in most installations. Is the Piccola dimmable?

No. The integrated 5W LED module is not compatible with dimmer switches and should be wired directly to a standard switched circuit.

What drop height works best over a dining table or kitchen island?

For a dining table, suspend the pendant 700-800mm above the surface. For a kitchen worktop or island, 600-750mm gives good task lighting without the shade entering the sightline of someone standing at the counter. The cable can be shortened during installation to set the final drop.

Can multiple Piccola pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The compact 13cm diameter makes the Piccola well-suited to cluster or row installations. Space individual pendants 400-600mm apart along a kitchen island or bar, or group two or three at different heights over a dining table for layered lighting.

What is the light output equivalent to in traditional wattage?

The 5W LED outputs 550 lumens, roughly equivalent to a 40-50W incandescent bulb. This provides good localised task light over a small area rather than room-wide ambient illumination.
