Description

The Pianopoli is a large round ceiling light in chrome. A cascade of clear glass flowers and polished chrome drops gathers beneath a wide circular plate. It measures 78cm in diameter and 52.5cm tall and narrows towards a single drop at its lowest point, so it reads almost like a chandelier while still fitting close to the ceiling. The body is stainless steel and the flowers are brilliant glass, clear and faceted so they catch and scatter the light. It runs on integrated LEDs, 43 of them at 1.8W each, with no bulbs to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

We see it as the centre of a living room, dining room or generous hallway, where its width can spread sparkle across the whole space. Each light gives 240lm and the colour temperature is 3000K, a warm white that flatters skin tones and wood finishes after dark. Because it is dimmable, you can run it bright for a dinner party and bring it down for a quiet evening. At 52.5cm tall it suits rooms with a good ceiling height, and it works well over a dining table, where nobody walks beneath the lowest drop.
