Description

The Photonix-1 is a 280mm outdoor lampshade moulded from matt white plastic, designed as a replacement or upgrade shade for wall-mounted and pole-mounted exterior lighting fixtures. The white plastic diffuses light evenly across its surface, softening the output from exposed bulbs and reducing glare in gardens, patios, terraces and courtyard lighting schemes.

Intended for outdoor use, the shade fits standard E27 lamp holders and pairs with bulbs up to 60W. The plastic construction resists moisture, UV exposure and temperature fluctuation better than fabric or paper shades, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather. The 280mm diameter provides coverage for compact wall lights and post-top lanterns without overwhelming smaller fixtures.

The matt white finish reflects approximately 80-85% of the light back through the shade while absorbing the rest, which prevents harsh spotlighting and gives a softer ambient glow. The shade weighs approximately 200g, light enough to fit most existing lamp holders without additional support. Made by Ideal Lux in Italy, the Photonix-1 carries a 5-year warranty covering material defects and UV degradation.
