The Photonix-1 is a 280mm outdoor lampshade moulded from matt white plastic, designed as a replacement or upgrade shade for wall-mounted and pole-mounted exterior lighting fixtures. The white plastic diffuses light evenly across its surface, softening the output from exposed bulbs and reducing glare in gardens, patios, terraces and courtyard lighting schemes.

Intended for outdoor use, the shade fits standard E27 lamp holders and pairs with bulbs up to 60W. The plastic construction resists moisture, UV exposure and temperature fluctuation better than fabric or paper shades, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather. The matt white finish reflects approximately 80-85% of the light back through the shade while absorbing the rest, which prevents harsh spotlighting and gives a softer ambient glow.
