Description

The Phostis is a dual-mount wall or semi-flush ceiling light built around a vertical brushed brass bar with a spherical blown glass diffuser held at the centre. The brushed brass bar measures 333mm in length and projects 120mm from the wall when surface-mounted, with the glass sphere sitting centrally along the bar. A single G9 bulb inside the sphere (sold separately) casts light through the blown glass, which diffuses it into a soft ambient glow.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedrooms and bathrooms where a compact fitting is needed on either a wall or a low ceiling, the Phostis offers installation flexibility without needing separate wall and ceiling versions. When mounted on a wall it acts as a sconce, casting light upward and downward along the brass bar. When mounted on a ceiling it becomes a semi-flush fitting, sitting close to the surface while the glass sphere provides 360-degree diffusion. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor areas.

The brushed finish on the brass softens reflections and pairs well with both contemporary and classical interiors, particularly where warm metallics are used elsewhere in door furniture, taps or cabinet handles. The blown glass sphere is a solid white opal glass rather than clear, ensuring the G9 bulb itself is fully concealed when lit. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 dimmable bulb and dimmer switch.
