Phostis 4 Light Wall/Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - White

The Phostis is a 4-light wall and semi-flush ceiling fitting with four white blown glass globes mounted on a 860mm white metal bar. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) behind a diffused glass sphere that softens light output and hides the bulb filament. The bar mounts directly to the ceiling or wall via a rectangular backplate, giving a 120mm projection from the mounting surface.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms away from the bath and shower zones, over mirrors and as supplementary light above kitchen islands or dining tables, the Phostis provides both task and ambient light depending on installation position. We rate it IP20, so it is not for positions that can be splashed. When ceiling-mounted, the globes direct light downward and outward across a 2-3m spread. When wall-mounted above a mirror or vanity, the globes provide even facial illumination without harsh shadows. The 860mm length suits spaces 3-4m wide where a single central pendant would leave the outer edges underlit.

The white metal finish and white blown glass give the fitting a clean, neutral presence that works across modern, coastal and Scandinavian-influenced interiors. The blown glass construction means each globe shows slight variation in thickness and internal bubble pattern, visible when backlit. The G9 base accepts both halogen capsule bulbs and compact LED equivalents, allowing control over colour temperature and wattage. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmers and dimmable G9 bulbs.

Can it be mounted on both ceiling and wall?

Yes. The rectangular backplate allows the bar to be mounted either horizontally on a ceiling as a semi-flush fitting or vertically on a wall above a mirror or vanity. The 120mm projection suits both applications.

What bulb does it take?

The Phostis takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G9 bulbs are available as halogen capsules or compact LED equivalents, typically 3-5W LED or up to 40W halogen. Most users choose warm-white LED bulbs around 3000K for bathroom or hallway use.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the fitting has no water protection and is only suitable for bathroom zones 3 or outside of zones — typically over a mirror away from direct water contact. It cannot be installed in zones 0, 1 or 2 where splashing or moisture accumulation occurs.

Is dimming supported?

Yes, when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable G9 bulbs. LED G9 bulbs often require specific dimmer models to avoid flicker — check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing.
