The Phosix is a recessed LED downlight housing five individual lenses within a 135mm rectangular black die-cast aluminium body. Each lens directs a separate beam of warm 3000K light onto the surface below, creating a gridded pattern of five overlapping pools rather than a single wide flood. The integrated 12W LED sits behind a polycarbonate reflector that distributes output across the five apertures.

Designed for commercial installations where anti-glare matters, the Phosix carries a UGR rating below 16, making it suitable for office lighting, hotel corridors, retail spaces and lobbies where overhead fittings sit within the sightline. The five-lens configuration provides directional control that a single diffuser cannot, allowing the light to be concentrated on a desk surface, a corridor floor or a display shelf without spill onto walls. The 35mm projection from ceiling level keeps the fitting low-profile once recessed.

The black powder-coated aluminium housing dissipates heat from the LED efficiently, contributing to the rated 50,000-hour lifespan. The rectangular form suits linear installation patterns along corridors or above kitchen islands, and multiple Phosix units can be positioned end-to-end to create continuous runs of recessed light. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The fitting is non-dimmable and operates on 230V mains without requiring external drivers or transformers.

No. The integrated LED operates at fixed output on 230V mains and does not support dimming.

What is the UGR rating and why does it matter?

UGR (Unified Glare Rating) measures how much glare a light fitting produces when viewed from typical working positions. A rating below 16 is considered low-glare, making the Phosix suitable for offices, study areas and commercial spaces where the fitting sits within the normal sightline and needs to avoid causing eye strain.

Can it be used in bathrooms?
