Description

The Phosix is a 274mm linear recessed downlight housing 10 individual LED modules behind a black polycarbonate louvre, delivering 20W combined output at 3000K warm white. The trimless design allows the fitting to be plastered directly into the ceiling, leaving no visible bezel or rim once installation is complete — the black louvre sits flush with the ceiling plane.

Designed for commercial, retail and residential settings where clean ceiling lines matter, the Phosix suits corridors, gallery walls, kitchen runs and office zones requiring consistent downlight without visible hardware. The 274mm length spans approximately one joist bay in typical UK ceiling construction, and the 71mm projection depth accommodates most ceiling void depths above 80mm. The fitting is IP20-rated for dry indoor use only.

The die-cast aluminium frame provides structural rigidity during plaster-in installation and acts as a heat sink for the 10 LED modules. Each module directs light downward through a cell in the black polycarbonate louvre, which prevents glare and softens the beam spread. The non-dimmable driver is integrated into the fitting and connects to standard 230V mains supply. The black finish on both the louvre and the housing recedes against dark ceilings and provides strong contrast against white plaster.

The 3000K colour temperature produces a neutral warm white comparable to halogen, making the Phosix compatible with mixed lighting schemes that include traditional sources. The 5-year warranty covers both the LED modules and the driver circuitry, which are non-user-replaceable components.
