Description
The Phix is a 6 light chandelier built on a brass cross-arm frame with six matt black cone shades that pivot independently on brass collars. Each cone shade houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately, maximum 40W per socket) and can be angled to direct light down onto a surface, across a wall, or up towards the ceiling, giving control over how the room is lit. The brass hardware is left in a natural satin finish that contrasts with the matt black metal cones.
At 780mm diameter, the Phix suits dining rooms, kitchen islands, and larger entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. The adjustable drop runs from 491mm to 1405mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or higher in double-height spaces. The symmetrical six-arm layout distributes light evenly around the fixture's centre point, while the pivoting shades let you adjust whether that light is focused or diffused depending on the room's function.
The Phix takes its form from mid-century modern design, where geometric frames and adjustable elements were paired to balance structure with flexibility. The matt black finish on the cones absorbs light on the exterior while reflecting it internally through the white-painted interiors, creating a controlled beam without glare. The brass frame adds warmth to the black geometry and pairs comfortably with both warm wood tones and cooler concrete or stone finishes in contemporary interiors.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Phix take?
The chandelier takes six E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, maximum 40W per socket. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-8W and 2700K-3000K to balance the matt black exterior with warm ambient light.
Can the cone shades be adjusted after installation?
Yes. Each cone shade pivots on a brass collar and can be repositioned by hand to direct light where needed. The shades hold their position once adjusted but can be re-angled at any time without tools.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 491mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights of 2.6m or above when hung over a dining table (typical clearance 700-900mm above the table surface). For higher ceilings, the drop can be extended to 1405mm using the adjustable suspension system.
Is the brass finish lacquered or will it tarnish?
Kichler brass finishes are typically sealed to slow tarnishing, but natural brass will develop a patina over time in humid or coastal environments. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the satin finish.
