Description

The Philadelphia is a 430mm outdoor wall light with a single E27 fitting housed in a champagne-tinted blown glass lantern, mounted on a scrolled arm bracket finished in old bronze patina. The glass is hand-blown into an urn shape with a flame finial at the top, and the metalwork carries cast acanthus leaf detailing on the wall plate, arm and collar beneath the glass.

Designed for period-style homes, listed buildings and traditional frontages, the Philadelphia suits entrance porches, side passages, courtyard walls and covered verandas where an IP44 rating provides protection against rain and dust. The 240mm projection from the wall positions the light source forward enough to cast light down onto doorsteps and pathways without the lantern sitting tight against the wall. The E27 socket accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), allowing a choice between warm-white LED, vintage filament or halogen bulbs depending on desired light output and colour temperature.

The old bronze patina finish is a multi-toned surface treatment combining darker bronze, copper-brown highlights and verdigris green undertones, replicating the weathered appearance of aged cast bronze. This finish contrasts with the warm amber tone of the champagne glass when the bulb is lit, creating a glow similar to gaslight-era lanterns. The casting detail on the scrollwork and wall plate is deeper and more defined than pressed-metal alternatives, giving the fitting a substantial presence at 1.2kg installed weight.

Can the glass be replaced if broken?
