Description

The Philadelphia is a 525mm outdoor wall light with a down-facing lantern housing a single E27 bulb behind champagne-tinted blown glass. The frame is cast aluminium finished in old bronze with an applied patina, and the wall plate carries acanthus leaf detailing and scroll arms that curve from the backplate to support the suspended lantern body. An IP44 rating provides protection against dust and water spray, making the fitting suitable for doorways, porches, patios and covered outdoor areas.

Designed for traditional, classical and period-style exteriors, the Philadelphia mounts vertically on an exterior wall with the light directed downwards onto the ground or steps below. The 265mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the lantern to sit away from the brickwork while the 190mm width suits standard door frame proportions. The champagne glass diffuses the light from the bulb while the bronze frame casts decorative shadows onto adjacent walls when lit at night.

The old bronze finish shows darker tones in the recesses of the cast detailing and lighter bronze highlights on the raised surfaces, giving depth to the scroll arms and acanthus leaves. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and wet climates better than steel or iron equivalents. The lantern accepts any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing the light output and colour temperature to be chosen to suit the setting.
