Description
The Perth is a single-light pendant combining a woven rattan-style dome shade with an opal glass globe diffuser, suspended on a brushed gold rod from a matching circular canopy. The woven shade measures 375mm in diameter and sits above a spherical opal glass diffuser that houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The open weave allows filtered light to escape upwards and outwards, casting patterned shadows onto the ceiling, while the opal globe directs soft downward light for task or ambient use.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables seating 2-4 people, breakfast bars and reading corners, the Perth works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The drop is adjustable between 457mm and 1479mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the appropriate height above a worktop (typically 600-750mm clearance) or dining surface (typically 700-800mm). The compact 375mm diameter suits smaller spaces where a larger pendant would overwhelm the proportions.
The brushed gold finish on the rod, canopy and upper cup provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with mid-century, coastal and contemporary casual interiors. The natural straw tone of the woven shade introduces texture without the weight of solid materials, and the rattan-style weave is a synthetic material that holds its shape more consistently than natural rattan. The opal glass globe softens the downward light output, reducing glare from the exposed bulb when the pendant is viewed from below.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Perth takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the natural tone of the woven shade.
Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes. The drop is adjustable between 457mm and 1479mm during installation by shortening the rod length. Once installed the height is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted.
Is the woven shade natural rattan?
The shade is a rattan-style synthetic weave rather than natural rattan. This holds its shape more consistently over time and is less affected by humidity and temperature changes than natural fibres.
What ceiling height is needed?
For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Perth if the rod is shortened to the minimum 457mm drop.
