Description

The Pembroke is a 260mm wall light combining hand-forged black iron scrollwork with an alabaster glass bowl. The iron frame features a twisted spiral stem rising from a ball finial, wrapping around the bowl's edge in a rope-twist detail that creates shadow patterns when the light is on. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb housed inside the upward-facing bowl.

Designed for interior wall mounting in hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and bedroom alcoves, the Pembroke provides ambient upward light while the glass bowl diffuses direct glare from the bulb. The 130mm projection from the wall allows the fitting to clear most skirting boards and dado rails without needing a spacer plate. The 260mm height and width suit walls with typical 2.4m ceiling heights, positioned 1.6-1.8m from floor level.

Each iron component is hand-forged rather than cast, meaning the rope-twist details and scrollwork show the hammer marks and slight irregularities typical of hand-worked metal. The black finish is applied over the forged iron and sealed to resist tarnishing. The alabaster glass bowl shows natural tonal variation between pieces, with some bowls appearing warmer cream tones and others cooler whites depending on the mineral content of the glass batch.

The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall back plate fixed to the wall with screws and wall plugs. The electrical connection is made behind the back plate, then the decorative iron frame screws onto the plate to conceal the wiring and fixings.
