Description

The Pembroke is a 365mm flush ceiling light with a white glass bowl held within a hand-forged iron frame finished in matt black. Two E27 bulb fittings sit inside the bowl, providing general ambient light through the diffused glass. The decorative ironwork forms a geometric cage pattern around the upper rim of the glass, with a matching central boss and finial underneath.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Pembroke provides functional ceiling light with a 165mm projection from the ceiling. The flush-mount design suits hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms where headroom is limited. The 60W maximum rating per bulb allows for traditional filament bulbs, LEDs, or halogens (bulbs sold separately).

The hand-forged iron frame shows the hammer marks and slight irregularities characteristic of forged metalwork, giving each fitting a distinct appearance compared to machine-pressed alternatives. The black finish is a powder-coated matt that resists tarnishing and fingerprints better than painted or lacquered surfaces. The white glass bowl softens the direct light from the bulbs and reduces glare when viewed from below.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Pembroke take?

The fitting accepts two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for general room lighting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Pembroke projects 165mm from the ceiling once fitted, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.1m or above. It is specifically designed as a low-ceiling alternative to pendant lights.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It has no stated IP rating, so it is for dry rooms only. The Specification table does not list an IP rating.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool completely. The glass bowl can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent if needed. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the electrical components or iron frame.
