Description

The Feiss Payne-2 is a 502mm-wide bathroom wall light with two white opal etched glass cylindrical shades mounted on a polished chrome backplate with decorative spun metal rings. Each shade houses a G9 LED bulb (two included, 3W each, 3000K), providing soft diffused light through the frosted glass. The fitting is IP44-rated for safe use in bathroom zones.

Designed for installation above bathroom mirrors, along hallway walls, or in en-suites where ambient and task lighting are both needed, the Payne-2 offers 502mm of horizontal spread to balance symmetrically around a typical 800-1000mm mirror. The 121mm projection means it sits comfortably clear of the wall without protruding far into smaller bathrooms. The dual lights deliver enough output for grooming tasks while the opal glass prevents glare in reflective surfaces.

The polished chrome finish provides a high-shine reflective surface that pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and other bathroom fittings. The spun metal rings add texture and visual detail without moving into heavily ornate territory, making the fitting suitable for both traditional and contemporary bathrooms. The white opal glass is etched rather than smooth, giving it a satin texture that hides water spots and fingerprints better than clear glass would. The fitting mounts on a standard UK backplate and can be wired to a bathroom lighting circuit with or without a pull-cord switch depending on the room layout.

Yes. The fitting carries an IP44 rating, making it safe for use in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower enclosure area). It should not be installed directly above a bath or within a shower cubicle.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The fitting includes two 3W LED G9 bulbs at 3000K warm white. These are integrated into the package and ready to use on installation.

What size mirror does this suit?

The 502mm width works well above mirrors between 800mm and 1000mm wide. For larger mirrors consider pairing two Payne-2 fittings or choosing a longer variant from the Payne range if available.

Can the glass shades be cleaned?

Yes. The white opal etched glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth. The etched surface hides water spots better than clear glass, but avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the frosted finish.
