Description

The Paulson is a 537mm diameter pendant light with six individual glass tube shades suspended within a polished chrome drum frame. Each shade is built from vertical clear glass rods held in a chrome band, creating a ribbed texture that diffuses light while maintaining transparency. Six integrated 3W LED G9 bulbs are included, each casting 3000K warm white light through the glass rod construction.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and bathrooms, the Paulson carries an IP44 rating making it suitable for zones 2 and 3 in bathrooms where splashing water is present. The 537mm width suits tables or islands between 1.4-1.8m long, and the drop is adjustable between 400mm minimum and 1757mm maximum on installation, allowing it to be set 700-900mm above a worktop or 750-850mm above a dining surface depending on ceiling height. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The polished chrome finish provides high reflectivity that pairs with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer transitional schemes where chrome fixtures are already present. The glass rod construction gives the pendant a lighter visual weight than solid glass drum shades of the same diameter, making it suitable for rooms where a 537mm pendant might otherwise feel too heavy. Each glass rod shade measures approximately 295mm in height, and the vertical ribbing created by the individual rods catches and scatters light in multiple directions rather than focusing it downward.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Paulson suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, where it may be exposed to splashing water but not direct jets. It cannot be installed in zone 0 (inside a shower enclosure) or zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

The pendant comes with six 3W LED G9 bulbs included. These are standard G9 fittings and can be replaced with alternative G9 LED bulbs up to 3W if needed in future.

What table size does this suit?

The 537mm diameter works best over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.4-1.8m long. For larger tables or islands, consider pairing two Paulson pendants spaced evenly along the length.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension rod is adjustable during installation between 400mm minimum and 1757mm maximum. Once installed, the drop is fixed unless the pendant is taken down and re-fitted at a different height.
