Paulson 4 Light Bar Wall Light - Polished Chrome IP44

The Paulson is a 737mm vertical bar wall light with four G9 LED lamps housed behind cylindrical glass diffusers built from individual clear glass rods. Each glass tube runs the full height of the fitting and is held at top and bottom by a polished chrome collar and endcap. The four lamps sit within the rods, and the ribbed glass softens and diffuses their output into a warm ambient wash rather than direct glare.

Designed for bathroom vanity lighting, the Paulson's IP44 rating allows installation in zones where water spray is present, such as above mirrors in bathrooms or close to shower enclosures. The 737mm height and 121mm width suit single or double basin vanity units where vertical mirror lighting is preferred over horizontal bath bars. The fitting can also be used in hallways, dressing rooms and cloakrooms where space is vertical rather than horizontal. The polished chrome finish pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings.

Four 3W G9 LED lamps are included, each rated at 3000K to give a warm white output suitable for skin tones under bathroom mirror lighting. The glass rod construction creates a textured, linear pattern when lit, with light refracting through the individual rods rather than passing through a plain glass shade. The polished chrome backplate fixes to a standard UK wall box and the fitting projects 144mm from the wall once installed.

What does IP44 mean for bathroom use?

IP44 means the fitting is protected against water splashes from any direction. This makes the Paulson suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, including above basins and mirrors, but not inside shower enclosures or directly above baths where a higher IP rating would be needed.

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The Paulson uses standard G9 capsule bulbs which can be replaced when they reach end of life. The included 3W LEDs are rated for approximately 15,000 hours at 3000K, but any G9 bulb up to the maximum 3W rating will fit.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 LED bulbs fitted. The included Feiss LEDs are typically non-dimmable. If dimming is required, replace the supplied bulbs with dimmable-rated G9 LEDs and pair with a compatible LED dimmer switch.

What width of mirror does it suit?

The 121mm width and vertical orientation make the Paulson suitable for narrow to medium-width mirrors, typically 400-800mm wide. For wider mirrors or double basins, two Paulson fittings can be mounted as a symmetrical pair either side of the mirror.
