Description

This musical jewellery box brings Princess Jasmine to a bedroom shelf or dressing table, with her portrait framed in a ring of white flowers on the lid. Around the sides runs a soft mint print of lilac and grey sprigs, leaves and blooms, with lilac scrollwork borders edging the lid and the drawer front, where a small monkey sits in one corner. It is a neat rectangular box, 15.7cm wide, finished in matt so the pastel colours stay soft rather than glossy.

Lift the silver-tone latch and the lid opens on a mirror, with a little round palace scene under a crescent moon standing on a slim stem in front of it. Give the small key a few turns and the box plays its tune. Inside there is an open compartment for bracelets, hair clips and trinkets, and a small section with pink ring rolls to keep rings upright and easy to find. Underneath, a pull-out drawer with a round knob holds earrings and other tiny keepsakes.
