Description

The Pascal is a 35cm flush ceiling light with a dome-shaped frosted glass shade held in a pressed metal frame finished in white and gold. The glass dome is sandblasted to create a textured surface that diffuses light evenly across the room, and the metal rim and central drop feature a pressed decorative pattern with scrollwork and ribbing details. Three E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the dome, each rated up to 40W.

Designed for rooms with standard or low ceilings where a pendant would hang too far into the space, the Pascal sits 19cm below the ceiling once fitted and provides ambient light suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The white and gold finish pairs with both warm-toned traditional interiors and warmer contemporary schemes. The IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor rooms only.

The metal frame is constructed from pressed steel with the decorative pattern formed during pressing rather than applied afterwards, giving a consistent relief depth around the entire rim. The white finish on the frame provides contrast against the gold accents on the rim detail and central finial. The frosted glass reduces glare from the three bulbs and casts a soft wash of light onto the ceiling above as well as downwards into the room.

The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in living rooms or bedrooms.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The flush-mount design projects only 19cm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would hang too far into the space.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Pascal is rated for dry indoor rooms only and is not protected against moisture. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, utility rooms or other areas where moisture or water spray may be present.

Is the glass replaceable if damaged?

The frosted glass dome is a separate component from the metal frame. Contact Maytoni or Niori for replacement glass availability if the dome is damaged during installation or cleaning.
